Installing steel reinforcing bars for concrete pavement

Safer, Smoother Roadway Taking Shape

Steel reinforcing bars for long-life concrete pavement are being installed for the at-grade section of the new roadway, adjacent to the new Battery Tunnel. This roadway will connect to the temporary detour to carry traffic around the eastern end of the project and make room for the rest of the project to be built.
