Western Section
Dark Green: Mid-2009-Early 2011
Light Green: Early 2011-Late 2012 (Site preparation in late 2010)
- Work will occur near Rod Road, Storey Avenue, Ruckman Avenue and Armistead Road neighborhoods
- Tree removal, clearing, grubbing and grading (site preparation)
- Visual impacts
- Extended concrete pours
- Night work for traffic tie-ins
- Loss of parking (10 spaces at Rod Road)
Battery Tunnel and Approaches
Yellow: Late 2009-Early 2011
Light Blue: Early 2011-Late 2012
- Work will occur near Riley Ave. (residential neighborhood)
- Closure of Lincoln Boulevard (near the National Cemetery)
- Deep soil excavation
- Concrete pours
- Stockpiling and hauling of material
